Who the heck is Kim Pinkney?

Born and raised in San Diego, never left until I joined the Navy. I honorably served 9 years, 5 as a mechanic, and left when my mom took ill. I am a proud single mom of 3 children. I am currently pursuing my hobby as a flash animator and graphic artist. I sketch and animate people. I like to read and write fantasy/ sci-fi, and horror. I like to laugh and have a good time-but I even do it during the hard times with a wry grin. I love amusement parks and roller coasters. I believe that I should try virtually everything once,if it feels good-twice, and a third time just to confirm it.

I have been drawing ever since I was a kid.  I didn't get good until high school when I started "seeing" what I was doing.  I began by copying and emulating my favorite artists, drawing from comic books and cartoons  and just kept at it.  I eventually geeked myself out on how-to draw books.  It wasn't until later that I finally enrolled into a school.  It only enhanced the skills I already had.  Not to mention it was a total blast being around other artists.

With YouTube and my commissions I will continue to grow and hope that I can pass a little info along the way.  Please let me know what you think by following me and leaving me comments.

Favorite Quote:
"I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are. "
